About
I’m Dario Calamai, a pianist, keyboardist, composer and arranger. I graduated with honours in Music and New Technologies from the Luigi Cherubini Conservatory in Florence, after years of studying classical and modern music side by side. Piano is my main instrument, and I also play keyboards and synths.
I write solo piano music with ambient and electronic colours, now and then in odd time signatures, and music for picture: I’ve provided the soundtrack for exhibitions at the Conservatory and at Palazzo Pitti. My singles, EP and album are out on Spotify and the major streaming platforms.
Progressive rock is never far away. I’ve taken it on stage with Anvil Therapy, the progressive metal band I co-founded, with many concerts and two studio albums to our name. I also collaborate with other artists, live and in the studio.
